VistaCreate is an online graphic design editor that allows you to edit photos and use them in designs for different platforms. In this article, we’ll take you through the features and tools you can use to edit pictures.
How to start editing a photo in VistaCreate
To get started, upload your image to the editor or choose from millions of royalty-free files in the VistaCreate library.
- To upload your own photo, go to “Uploads” in the sidebar menu. Then, click “Upload Image or Video” and select the file you want to add.
- To use an image from the VistaCreate library, go to “Photos” in the sidebar menu. Explore images by keyword and choose one that best fits your project.
How to edit an image in VistaCreate
Step 1: Click on your selected photo and go to “Edit Image” in the header menu of the artboard.
Step 2: Apply filters to your image to quickly edit it. You can do so by clicking on each of the filters you want to try.

Step 3: Use “Advanced Settings” to tweak brightness, contrast, tint, saturation, blur, x-process, and vignette in your photo.

Step 4: Apply masks to shape your image. You can do so by clicking “Apply Mask” in the header menu of the artboard.
Step 5: You can also crop your photo, add and edit borders, experiment with opacity, flip your image horizontally or vertically, and apply colors from your photo to your design. Find all of these tools in the header menu of the artboard.
Step 6: Animate your photo by clicking “Animate” in the header menu of the artboard. Experiment with different animated effects to see what works best for your design. This is convenient if you want to use your photo in animated designs, such as Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, TikToks, and more.
How to edit a photo using Pro features in VistaCreate
With the VistaCreate Pro plan, you can remove your background or turn the image into a sticker.
- Remove your image background to highlight what matters in your design. Start by clicking “Remove Background” in the header menu. Then, use the brush to manually tweak your image if needed.
- Turn your photo into a sticker by clicking “Sticker Maker” in the sidebar menu. You’ll see the “Sticker Maker” button after clicking “Edit Image”. You can edit sticker size and change the border color.
