Object Grabber lets you select an individual object in an image, extract it, and use it as a separate editable element in your VistaCreate design. It works with both uploaded and AI-generated images.
When you grab an object, VistaCreate automatically removes it from the original image and adds it to your canvas as a separate element.
How to extract an object from an image
- Select an image on the canvas.
- Click Edit Image → Object Grabber.
- Choose the object you want to extract:
- Brush: Paint over the object manually.
- Smart Select: Click an object to select it automatically.
- Click Grab.
The selected object will be extracted and added to your canvas as a separate element. It will also be removed from the original image.
How to select multiple objects
You can select multiple objects using Smart Select.
- Mac: Hold ⌘ Command and click each object.
- Windows: Hold Ctrl and click each object.
Then click Grab to extract the selected objects.
What can I do with an extracted object?
Once the object has been extracted, you can:
- Move and resize it.
- Edit it independently from the original image.
- Copy and paste it into another design.
- Reposition it to create a new composition.
How to remove an object from a photo
Object Grabber can also help you remove a selected object from an image while keeping it as a separate element.
Select the image, open Edit Image → Object Grabber, select the object, and click Grab. The object is removed from the original image and placed separately on the canvas.
Tip
If the result isn't what you expected, click Undo and try selecting the object again. For more complex images, processing may take longer.
